Who We Are
True Blue Neighbors, Student Success, Housing & Dining Services, and Sharp Chapel joined forces to launch a free, healthy food pantry on campus for any students, staff, or faculty experiencing food insecurity. In partnership with the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, Sodexo, and alumni-owned Oasis Fresh Market, we aim to meet the basic needs of the TU family.
Personal Message
"My experience as an international student from Mexico drove me to join the True Blue Food Pantry as a graduate assistant in November 2021. When international students visit the pantry, I resonate with their experience as someone who went years without a car and sometimes could not get food from outside sources. It can impact you, especially when you're trying to study or be active on campus. Working at the pantry has allowed me to bond with people from many different cultures, and it brings me energy to see our work come to fruition." - Diego Espinosa '21 '22
Why Give
The TU Food Pantry was established to provide emergency relief to help students and staff at The University of Tulsa and is a direct response to the need. With rising costs, it has become increasingly difficult for students to manage the costs of living with the costs of obtaining a degree, and many students find themselves choosing between essentials such as food and the costs of college.
